On March 16, SAIC Volkswagen held its ID. ERA Technology Launch under the theme "Human-Centric Technology," unveiling for the first time a range of core technology highlights of the ID. ERA series, including intelligent assisted driving. At the event, Momenta CEO Xudong Cao officially announced: Momenta's R7 World Model is coming soon and will make its global debut on SAIC Volkswagen's all-new flagship SUV, the ID. ERA 9X.
The global debut of Momenta's R7 World Model on the SAIC Volkswagen ID. ERA 9X marks the first real step of "Physical AI" onto the vehicle. By introducing a world model on top of reinforcement learning, the all-new Momenta R7 World Model builds an ability to understand the physical world—namely, to understand the physical properties of objects, the causal relationships of motion, and the potential possibilities of interaction.
Taking "Physical AI" onto the vehicle for the first time is, for safety-critical assisted driving, not merely a trend but a peak that must be scaled. The introduction of the world model gives the big model a cognitive framework for the physical world similar to that of humans, further accelerating the process by which the big model's performance in safety and peace of mind comes to substantially surpass that of humans.
Momenta's R7 World Model will redefine the "Moore's Law of the intelligent assisted driving experience," accelerating the pace from "10× every two years" toward "10× every year." The R7 World Model experience will first be made available to pioneer users of the ID. ERA 9X, delivering a standout experience that exceeds expectations.
